Ryder’s Xchange Terms & Conditions for Renters

1. Introduction

Welcome to Ryder’s Xchange. By accessing or using our website, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions. Please review them carefully.

2. Eligibility

To use our services, you must be at least 18 years old and possess the legal authority to enter into a binding agreement.

3. Account Registration

To use our services:

  • You must create an account.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account information.
  • You agree to provide accurate and complete information during registration.

4. Rental Agreement

All rentals are subject to the terms of the rental agreement provided on this website.

  • You agree to return the rented item in the same condition as received, excluding normal wear and tear.
  • Late returns may incur additional fees as specified in the rental agreement.
  • All rental bikes are equipped with GPS tracking units, which are monitored for insurance and security purposes.

5. Payment Terms

  • Payment must be made in full at the time of booking or as otherwise agreed between the renter and host provider.
  • A bond deposit (e.g., $500) may be required, with the amount set by the host.
  • Bond amounts may vary based on factors such as the bike/scooter price, age, and vintage type.
  • Renters may request details about the applicable bond amount from the host.
  • We hold card details for the security bond deposit. This is held for the full rental period and for 4 to 6 weeks after the rental has ended. The debiting cards facility will be deactivated after the 4 to 6 weeks period has ended. We will be fully transparent about any fines or insurance dealings before debiting anything.
  • The bond will be returned upon meeting the rental return conditions.
  • Accepted payment methods include credit cards and electronic transfers.
  • All payments are non-refundable unless otherwise stated in the rental agreement.

6. Use of the Website

You agree to use the website only for lawful purposes.

  • You must not engage in fraudulent or illegal activities.
  • You must not interfere with the website’s operation or attempt to gain unauthorized access.

7. Liability

  • Ryder’s Xchange is not liable for any damages or losses resulting from the use of our services.
  • We do not guarantee the availability or condition of any rental items listed on our website.
